Good News!

In February, I paid for a close-quarters gunfighting class that I ended up missing because I had to work. Now it looks like I'll be allowed to apply the fee I previously paid to their next class in the middle of April.

That's less than a month from now! Better get started scrounging for enough ammo . . .

That's great! I'm glad they did that for you. I'll be in Pahrump around that time. ;)

Have you considered Handloading / Reloading your own ammunition? Haven't been following your blog long enough to know if you do (or have ever) handloaded.

Must caution you however, that in my opinion, you won't save any money (but you will be able to shoot more for the money that you spend)...

I've thought about reloading, but never pursued it. The advantages of lower cost for practice never seemed to balance out against the disadvantages of not using handloads for defense or training, and having no time or space to devote to it anyway.

My house is very small and I don't think a decent reloading bench would fit. I don't even have room for the bigger gun safe I so desperately need. None of the gun schools I attend let you run reloads or handloads of any kind. My attorney's a retired prosecutor who says stick to factory ammo for defense. And my working hours are pretty much "all of them."

But if the political winds continue to blow in bad directions, I may just have to reconsider.
