Boycotting Arizona?

Arizona passes a law that says (guess what?) illegal aliens are ILLEGAL, and treats them as such. Next thing you know, cities like San Francisco and Boston are saying they will stop doing business with Arizona over this, as they put it, "anti-immigration" law.

My grandparents on my father's side and great-grandparents on my mother's side were all immigrants from Poland and Czechoslovakia. They came to this country legally, crossing the Atlantic by ship and going through Ellis Island before ending up in Chicago. They learned English, and became naturalized citizens.

They followed the law and did it right.

Arizona's law isn't anti-immigration, it's anti-illegal-immigration. There is a legal process to follow if you want to live and work here. Mexico's own immigration laws are far different than what the Mexican government is demanding of this country regarding its citizens who come here illegally.

Personally, if they want to play the boycott game, I'm more than happy to boycott those cities that want to boycott Arizona. And maybe do some business myself with one company located there near Paulden.

Hilarious. The idiots apparently didn't think about the fact that California buys huge amounts of power and water from Arizona. And LA's anti-business policies aren't helping any either: http://ronkayela.com/2010/05/la-boycotts-arizona-over-immig.html

THANK YOU! Common sense reigns. I live in Phoenix, and even the entire local sports team (the Suns) wore shirts sporting 'the Sols', in support of the irrational protests! If liberal/progressive folks, governments, companies, whatever, don't want to do business here, so be it. Take your business to Cuba.
Wouldn't it be great if Arizona stopped selling water and power to California, because we weren't wanted? Maroons, all...

So now, in addition to finally doing something about the illegal issue, this law ensures that we won't be overrun by Californians, either?

Two-for-one! Governor Brewer's a genius, I tell ya.

The footage really makes me want to review the "Civil unrest" portion of my plans. If other states follow suit-and they will, because the FedGov is showing no interest in enforcing immigration laws, except against muslims-the reaction could be ugly.

Babylon, since when are we enforcing our immigration laws against Muslims?

Hell, we're even willing to let them build two mosques within sight of Ground Zero. We're just so tolerant and all...

A Nebraska senator has just announced he will introduce a bill next year that will, if passed, give us an anti-illegal-immigration law virtually identical to Arizona's. A number of local governments have tried to prohibit hiring or renting to illegals before, but backed down when the pro-illegal forces cried unconstitutional.

Immigrate all you want, folks. Just do it legally.

I hear that. My great Grandad was from Italy and refused to speak Italian once they were here. When asked why I am told his answer was that "we are American now"
